#12 ABC's

*U*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Understand your role.  Embrace who you should be.  Be happy about it.

Being a wife isn't 50/50.
You give half. I'll give half.
It is giving 100%....... 24/7.
You give your all.
All the time.

Does your home have a peaceful existence?  Domestic order?

or?

 Turmoil?  Trouble in too many places?
Do you spend a lot of your time putting out of fires?

Are the sprinkles all gone out of your days?

Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

You should be a builder.

Psalm 128:3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

You should be as a fruitful vine.

Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

You should be a good thing.

Proverbs 19:14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

You should be prudent.

1 Peter 3:1  Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

You should be submissive.

Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

You should be discreet, chaste, a keeper at home, good and obedient.

1 Timothy 5:14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

You should guide the house and don't give anybody a reason to speak reproachfully of you.

Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Not slothful, but fervent.  (just regular verses apply to wives, too)

I know. I know.  I didn't list EVerYthINg we are supposed to be.
If we perfect these few, it will take us all until the cows come home anyway.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
