ABC's of Cleaning Part 5

*K*~~~~~~~~~~~

K is for Kristi.  My sister.  My sister with a beautiful house.  My sister that keeps house like nobunny I know.  We all LOVE to go to her house and stay.  They have chickens that cluck cluck cluck in the yard, a silver maple tree, a hammock, a windmill in a circle of bricks with lovely flowers, a brick patio where you can sit and watch the chickens and cats, a huge comfortable front-room, bedrooms that make you think you're in a magazine dream, fun dishes, old and new things here and there.....it's just nice to be in her house.  She also has and USES a clothes line.......

Let *K* inspire you!!

The wind up music box cat we played with when we were little.

Mr. Rooster that did not care for me one little bit.

Yes, it's Kansas.

Pretty flowers!

ZZzzzzzzzz

The front porch!!

Old radio, old iron, old curtains, old chair.  (I can't get the pictures separated!!)

I don't remember if this was coffee or tea she served to me......
Prolly tea.

Patio Rocker.....

Breakfast before my Aunt and I headed back for Texas.

Her WILD kitty.

Her front door looking out towards the East......

She's always been older than me.....She's also always been cleaner and more tidy than me.  If I were going to eat off of somebunny's floor......I would choose her floor.  Now, you don't have to decorate and have things like my sister, but it wouldn't hurt for any of us to clean like her!  She does have a basement and she does have lots of things and she keeps them all neat and fixed real nice in keepers and on shelves.  Her kitchen cabinets only have things in them that she loves.  She gets rid of as many things as she keeps, so her house doesn't feel cluttery with things she liked 10 years ago.  Yes, it does cost a little bit on money to decorate.....just go to more thrift stores, wait for sales, save up for what you want.......

Kansas. Sigh. How I miss it.

You know how I like blue & white dishes...that photo caught my eye. It wouldn't matter if I was served tea or coffee. I probably wouldn't even notice!

And cleaning...Not my strong suit. But I sure admire those who can/do keep their homes that way!

Hope you have a pleasant weekend, Mrs. Mo. Our weather is really supposed to warm up today & throughout the coming week. I'm SO ready!

Lovely pics! I was just telling my husband that I may take our galvenized wash tub thingie out of the basement and set up in front yard and plant some flowers in it. It's not used or hooked up to anything.

March is the most lovely month on the coast.......
Our Jr Hi Girls Sunday School had a small 'rabbit hutch' to slip cards in. When they had questions or comments off the lesson topic, they wrote them down, then we took time once a quarter to get together and follow those 'rabbit trails,' answering them and having a small party. It was such a pleasure finding your Rabbit Trails at IFBKJV.com and following them for a while. A very enjoyable time!!

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
