Beautiful girls; beautiful hair. I wish I could grow pretty healthy long hair!

I would if I could!

OK. Let's go back to the very first photo. Do you have to have a special gadget to loop the "tail" in the back? If so, where did you find it? If not, can you explain/diagram how to do it?????

Yes you need the loop thing and I can't remember what it's called! I only have one left, they disappear and I imagine I've had some stolen, too. :) I'll see if I can find a website that explains it. I LOVED doing it to the girl's hair.

Mrs. Mo and Rebecca:

You can still do the same thing w/o the tool, just pull the hair into a regular ponytail and then at the base of the ponytail (on the top), make a hole with your finger. Then, pull the hair through the hole.
the horses tails made me laugh.

I wish you could have posted some of liv's and mine! I know that was before digital though!

Sara, I LOVED doing your hair. It parted down the middle and back just right every time. Your braids were famous!

We used to have a topsy tail when my daughter was little. She would scream every time I pulled her hair through with the gadget... LOL.

Our Rose girls must really BE twins. Looking at pictures of Lydia Rose makes me think I am looking at Julia Rose. She has been doing some of those very things with her hair with Janell's help. They have been having a lot of fun! Her hair if very like Julia's, but Janell's is much thinner and she struggles more with the cute styles... but they do love it long. By the way, it is called a TOPSY TAIL and I believe that Sis. Sanchez gave us ours.

Caleb, everybunny has long hair except YOUR daughter. The watermelon eater.

WE just need to give Caleb's daughter a little time...it is coming along nicely. ;o)
I love the pictures of all your girls' lovely hair. Makes my eyes misty.
I met a lady recently who had lovely long red hair, and it was so beautiful. She was mid-30ish, and said she would never ever cut it, and that it was difficult to even trim it... How unusual to hear these days.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
