I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used. So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books. OK. Let's go back to the very first photo. Do you have to have a special gadget to loop the "tail" in the back? If so, where did you find it? If not, can you explain/diagram how to do it?????
You can still do the same thing w/o the tool, just pull the hair into a regular ponytail and then at the base of the ponytail (on the top), make a hole with your finger. Then, pull the hair through the hole.

I met a lady recently who had lovely long red hair, and it was so beautiful. She was mid-30ish, and said she would never ever cut it, and that it was difficult to even trim it... How unusual to hear these days.
