Reading

I think I paid a dime for this little book on the 23 Psalm.  I love to read about shepherds and their sheep.

These are the books that I am interested in right now.  A Book About A Thousand Things is taking a little time to read since it seems like I always have A THOUSAND things to do........and why I like to read about Craftsman Homes I'll never know....I just do.  I always have to have a Gladys Taber book nearby the bed.  She puts me to sleep, not that she is boring, but her writing is just kind of matter-of-fact sloooooow.

These are the books that will just have to wait.  What are YOU reading these days?  Can you read more than one book at a time?

I am on a cookbook frenzy. I have about 15 varying aged books with tabs notes and tempting things for me to make. I love the hand written notes I find~and the pages that are slightly or more than slightly oiled greased or food used...as I know it was a tried and true recipe!

In addition I am studying some cookbooks using powdered milk to make cheese, sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, buttermilk etc...so far it is amazing how easy it is to make things this way. The cottage cheese is very easy!

Love your stack of books and to answer your question-yes I can read several books at once!!

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
