yay!

We have a room we call the School Book Room.  I bet you can't guess why........
It has never been painted, mainly because there are shelves and lots of pictures that cover up the walls.  It isn't a huge room, maybe 7X5?  There are built in cabinets, one large window and THREE doors.  So you see, there isn't a lot of wall to be painted.........but I decided it was about time to change the white walls to something fun.  I randomly checked at Wal-Mart in their paint section for a gallon that somebunny ordered, then decided they didn't want.  I say randomly checked because I don't think I wrote it in my little Snoopy *note* book so I would CONSISTENTLY remember it. One time there was some pretty yellow paint but it was exterior. I thought I better stick with the inside paint since I wasn't going to get to choose the color.  My husband even went agreed for me to use paint from other rooms we have done in the house.........THEN I came across this gallon marked half off.  I LOVE the color and it will work just dandy.  I hope to de-BOOK / de-GAME/ de-PAPER that room, then paint.  I had wanted a rosy peachy pink sunrise glow type of color, but this will work just as nicely.

Somebody told me that they weren't finding gallons of paint anymore. That the actual size was less (like many cereal boxes, etc.). Did you find that so?

Your schoolbook room sounds interesting! Do you know its original purpose? Sounds almost like a hallway....

116 fluid ounces.......it does NOT say gallon. You're right. It's gonna be harder to say I'm gonna go buy 116 fluid ounces of paint instead of a gallon!
I think somebunny before me used the room for sewing and we sorta use it as a hall! It had a wooden folding door to the dining room when we moved here.....it's a neat little room. I fully intend to start cleaning and de-cluttering in there today.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
