A Few Of My Favorite Things

I love this rabbit.  She is just the right size to dress with old baby dresses.  She has such a sweet look on her face.  She is happy wherever I put her.

I have never been one to wear house-shoes.  My feet don't tend to get cold....or they get so cold I can't feel them and it doesn't matter.  My husband got me these from Target.  I knew what I was wanting and I knew that I would know it when I saw them.

The little white container is from Colorado.  Somebunny that likes *pink* got it for me.  The little white cup with a lid is from my Bosom Buddy.  I think I have some sort of bath salts in it....or some smelly soap.  The fluting angel is from my daughter.  I'm so glad her head glued back on so nicely......the tin to the right contains bath oil beads from the 60's? They have kept their shape and they still smell....like they did when they were put into the tin.  I open it once in a while and it makes me think of my Granny.   I have found that de-cluttering is worth every minute it takes.  If you don't get rid of things you don't love, then you can't see the things you DO.

My husband got me the little music maker.....Music Box Dancer.  I love that song.  The clock is from a daughter.  She knew I would love it, and I did.  And still do.

Your pretties and lovlies always make me smile. I have a music box my dad gave me when I was five. It has a butterfly that twirls around to "music box dancer"

I'm a pack rat... and then I don't know where the things are when I want them... looking for some little colored glass bottles I have stashed somewhere.. Oh how I need to declutter my closets and hiding places...

De-clutter little spots at a time. Don't take on a whole room. Just do a drawer.

Thanks Beth.....Music Box Dancer is such a happy song!

Little pretties look so good at your house. Wish I had houseshoes like that, but they wouldn't last for long here...I'd wear them out in a year for sure.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
