Live Laugh Love?

Live Laugh Love

There is something about that little 'phrase' you see everywhere that rubs me the wrong way.
Not that it's wrong to live, laugh or love......I just guess if you are laughing, you're probably living.
Now, I'm a great lover of quotes and ditties....but some of them are not very deep....and you must not practice them or say them over and over in your mind until you *believe* they are good and true.
Catchy rhymes and cute sayings are not always true.

It is much better to say things over and over in your mind that are true.
That are good.
That are from the Bible.
There are so many things we should be thinking and doing, we shouldn't have time to do the other worldy things and repeat worldly thoughts and plaster them all over the things we own.
Guilty.

How about these?
Put these on your walls.
On your vases.
In a picture.
On a necklace.....

ponder-consider-heed
preach-warn-admonish
plant-build-work
comfort-edify-refresh
stand-abide-prove
watch-continue-refrain
serve-minister-bless
yield-follow-obey
endure-forgive-forbear
weep-repent-mortify
submit-hearken-believe
hope-cherish-rejoice
arise-suffer-trust
beseech-counsel-press
praise-hear-go
hide-remember-seek

These are all verbs.
They are all from the Bible.
So, I can safely say:
Do These Things.

Excellent point excellently stated!

Like never before, God's people need to be discerning. Technology puts all sorts of concepts, pictures & words in front of us! God's Word is the Truth Meter - as you have reminded me so well in this post.

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
