the stove the stove

We bought it in the morning and picked it up that night. It was not a totally fun thing to do. We wanted a certain model in white. Sure, we can do that. Wait, we can't. OK, we'll take that one in white. You'll have to take the floor model. There's one in the back and just this one left. The one in the back is sold. But that one isn't solid white........but it's a better deal, they marked it off. OK, we'll take that one even though it's not the color we wanted. OOOPs, the one in the back is crunched, this one will be the one the other family gets. OK, well then, what about this one in white? We can't do that one in white. Well, let me look. Oh, we can get it in white. I'll see if we have one in the back. Well, what about this one in white? It's the same price as the one you're fixing to look for. Well, we don't have that one in white. We do have a white one in the back, but it isn't the same price. White ones are not as much. But this one is more than the one you're looking at because it is newer. OK, we'll take that one. That's how we got a new stove. It is one of those that you let get to 3,987 degrees twice a year and it cleans itself. It has gray cast iron burners, cool white switches and the broiler is not in the drawer. I thought they all were in the drawer. James read the book lastnight that came with it. He will just give me the rundown. I just need to know off and on.

ok, mo, DON'T FORGET to use the self-cleaning cycle on the cold days.
Even though I live where it is cold much of the time, I still only do my stove on r-e-a-l-l-y cold days.

"r-e-a-l-l-y cold" OK we will wait till the temperature drops to 45 degrees. Just thinking about it causes me to long for warmer weather!

I am planning on doing the big clean twice a year. The two times it is cold here.

Mo,
Tell your husband he won't freeze solid at 45 degrees...in spite of what he believes to be true, it takes a lot more than that. However, a forty-five degree day will be just about perfect for oven cleaning!

I'm telling ya, our 45 degree days are few and far between.......

My Favorite Child

I wish I had all the pictures I wanted, to go with this blog post........because I know a *picture paints a thousand words*, but for a large part of our family's life, old fashion cameras and old fashion pictures were being used.  So, many of the pictures that would help paint this post are somewhere in boxes and books.  It would take a month of Sundays to find them all so  I will just have to count on your imagination and my memory! FAVORITE: most liked, preferred above all others Sara, you were my favorite.  You were our first baby and we were so excited for you.  Your hair was perfect for me to learn how to braid and you always were very still for me.  You were the first little girl I got to dress up and put lacy socks on.  You were such a fun little girl to read to.  You memorized the books we had and it was a big part of our day to read with each other.  *where is the bear when the wind blows cold?*.    You have always been interested in the *family tree*, dates, p
